Upload Failed Unauthorized in upload que

Hi. I keep getting Upload Failed with the App. I check the upload que and keep getting “Unauthorised”. It has been working fine on my old Android Samsung. I have a new Samsung Galaxy S25GE. I have checked settings and wifi upload is off. The internet via mobile network is ok. I have checked the version of the App and its 1.0.587. Anyone have a solution?

Please rescan the original QR code. It will say “Already installed”, but will update the security credentials. We are tracking this as an issue.

Thanks Justin. I deleted the app cache and data and re scanned the QR code. All appears normal now. I am able to enter data and upload with out any error messages. Happy zoologist. Thanks.

I think I got similar problem: CT shows in Upload queue “Error 400” in some projects and in some not. When I delete the queue (only test data, not so important), it works fine in next try. I had test data from several projects in the queue at the same time. And some got the problem, some not.

What helps in my case: reinstall the project via QR-Code and switch Off the phone and switch on.

Unfortunately I have the same issue every day again. And today the 2nd installation via QR-Code does not help!

My two devices are:
Galaxy A40 Android 11 CT 1.0.587
Huawei P30 Android 12 CT 1.0.587

Justin, can you send last version of the app as apk-File? I’ll try to use and check…

Fortunately I have 2 other devices with older versions of CyberTracker (1.0.495 and 1.0.5.16). Both of this does NOT have this issue.

Update 26-01-25: I found 586 here → Download | CyberTracker Wiki . I have installed and the issue is gone. Defently 587 produces this error.

Update 26-01-26: I’m afraid all my previous ideas haven’t yet pinpointed the problem. After reinstalling CyberTracker, it initially seems to work on all devices with different Android versions (11, 12, 14). Even when I update one device back to version 587. The following day, however, the situation changes again. Projects that worked until the previous day are now returning Error 400. Not all projects are affected, and I don’t know why some work while others don’t. Only version 495 (Android 6) is delivering stable data without errors. I’m continuing my search to narrow down the problem.

By the way: transfer settings are: HTTP/ HTTPS (GEoJSON) to https://… xxx… /wp-json/jsonhandler/v1/receiver/

Hi Holger,

Could you please send me a bug report?

Thanks!

Justin, I hope you got an Email .. but here is also the link of two files and some litte description: Dropbox

The problem was negative decimal value. This produces an JSON-Error. Justin find solution in 1.0.588. Thanks!

This solved my issue as well (Data not uploading after transfer to new phone - #3 by sophiemaz), thank you!
