I adjusted the subject of the email, per Holger.

This feature has not changed and continues to work for me. The “sync” in this case refers to a USB connection, where the desktop pulls the data off the device.

The ‘Reset to start screen after sync’ is not working for me on several Samsung A11 & A21s phones running Android 11. The ‘Reset to start screen after sync’ is checked under ‘Edit Application’ General tab.

For example when a phone is sync’d:

  1. The screen on the phone does not return to the start screen
  2. A single select screen where numbers turn red after they have been used remain red.

The ‘Reset to start screen after sync’ works fine on phones running CT v3.514.

This is correct, the reset happens the next time you open the project.

There is no way for the app to notice that the files have been downloaded.

Yes that works, it is just a different process than the older CT versions.
