Integration with Earthranger

Dear Support team,

We would like to combine the advantages of Cybertracker classic with Earthranger. On the Earthranger webpage is stated : “Connecting CyberTracker to an EarthRanger account does not require any set up and once downloaded, CyberTracker will be automatically configured to match each user’s data model. If users do not have internet connection, then the data is stored on a mobile device and uploaded to EarthRanger once a connection is available.” How does this work in practical terms? Is it possible to visualize the reports collected in Cybertracker on Earthranger? Is it possible to use the same icons on both, accessing the icon collection of Earthranger, for instance? How to do this? I have a cybertracker database loaded on the mobile device and also are using Earthranger via the Cybertracker umbrella.

Hi Franziska,

Although you can use both CyberTracker Classic and EarthRanger from the same mobile app, they are actually separate things.

We are working on an integration which would allow CyberTracker collected data to also be sent to the EarthRanger server, but it is not quite ready yet. This work will likely be quite primitive, so think more like sending name+value pairs from CyberTracker to an ER report. There would be no icon sharing, etc.

We are quite interested in useful scenarios here, so if you would like to collaborate on something, we are happy to work with you.
