Hi,
I am using Cybertracker Classic v3.537 and collecting data on some Android devices with versions 9 to 14. Since the last Mobil App update (1.0.604), it has been impossible to synchronise data with the desktop. When I try to update, it says ‘downloading data’, but in the end it shows a message saying ‘0 sightings, 0 tracks, 1090 files downloaded’. The number of downloaded files increases, but I can’t find them in any system folder and the data are not downloaded in the database (it’s not a filtering problem). I can find this data on the device in the backup folder as CTX files. I have tried reinstalling the desktop version and doing a repair, but I can’t fix the problem. Can someone help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Adrian,
Could you please try exporting the data first? This is from the options menu in your mobile app.
We have had a lot of challenges retrieving data from the mobile device as Google policies have updated.

Hi Justin,
I tried exporting the data. It seems to work fine in Android version 14, but not in versions 9 or 13. The app looks a bit different on these versions. I have attached an image of the versions 9 and 13 app.
Hi Adrian,
In this case, you are using an online mechanism to send the data instead of USB.

Thank you, Justin.
I have reviewed my projects. In efect, changing the transfer options in the database properties I could export the data. However, at first i had selected the option “Backup (CTX)” for upload and download. Changing this option to “File share (CTX)” or “FTP (CTX)” I have the “export data option” activated. I have solved my dowloand data issues but It would be more useful to have an automatic download like in the old versions.
Hi Adrian,
If you want automatic download, then I recommend the Publish mechanism. It does not use USB and so you do not have to worry about cables, etc.

Hi Justin,
I have used this option for some of my projects, but for others I prefer USB mode. It could be the best option
Many thanks!!
Hi
I wanted if there still an option to sync data using a USB cable? We currently rely on USB syncing in some situations, so I was wondering whether this feature is still available or if it has been removed in the new version.
