Hi CT community, I would love some help adding a project/application that I built on my PC to an Android phone (model: Oukitel G3). The version of CyberTracker on the phone is 1.0.581 and the one on my PC is 3.535. For some reason, when I select Install (USB) on the CT on my PC I got an message saying Device not connected even though the phone is connected to the PC with an USB cable. I have also tried to manually add project through the phone: + button > CyberTracker Classic > Desktop install, but nothing happens. I would appreciate any advice/suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Thank you!
- Why you don’t want to use the public feature? This is very much easier to handle for install and download,
- USB on device is sometime tricky. Did you enable the “USB debugging” feature and/ or the function “Installation of Apps from external sources“? After connection with the cable, my Android 12 phone is asking the USB mode (only charging, data transfer, photo transfer). I choose “data transfer”. Than I can install the project via USB. I’ve tested it with the same version as you wrote. BUT: after collecting data the download via USB will not be finished in the 1st try. I need to close and reopen CyberTracker. Than it works. But may be … Coincidence.
Good luck
Holger
Thank you for the suggestions, Holger. I thought I enabled data transfer from phone but turns out I did not. It fixes the issue now. And you are right - it is much easier with the publish feature but I will be using the application in places with limited internet access so it is good to figure out how to do this via USB. Thanks again!
