Hey folks I am just starting to attempt to use this software and have some questions that probably very simple to you all:

  1. Do I need a separate mapping program on my desktop or mobile phone aside from CyberTracker?

  2. I’d like to record animal trails and behavior that I am following, but all the tutorials seem to be focused on single event captures. Does anyone do continuous recording of data? For example, on a very simple map and GPS application on my phone, I can record a trail that I walk and it will show me that path on the map. I’d like to be able to do that and also record behavior and other data as I follow. But I can’t figure out how to create that icon system in CyberTracker.

  3. Are there some simple instructions for how to use it? I downloaded CyberTracker on my desktop, and I downloaded in on my phone. But I can’t figure out where to go from there.

Hi Preston,

  1. No, it is designed to be an all-in-one solution
  2. Lots of folks do continuous recording, but it is done as a succession of single observations which gets analyzed on a map in a path.
